Sathya Sai Baba- 4th October

Satya Sai Baba is a South Indian guru, educator and a religious figure. He has a large number of followers who calls him avatar, godman and miracle worker. He is said to be the reincarnation of fakir and saint Sai Baba of Shirdi. He often recounts extensive and detailed incidents from fakir’s life. Today the Satya Sai Organization is a wide body which is spread across 114 countries with an estimate of 1200 Sathya Sai Centers. The number of Satya Sai disciples and followers in the world can be estimated by around 6 million. Satya Sai Baba is born in a remote village of Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh on 4th of October 1926. He has several temples and institutions, helping people grow spiritually and economically. Today millions of people from all parts of the world come to Puttaparthi for have one glance of the spiritual guru. This small village has now marked its importance in the world map.

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – 5th September

One of the most famous people in India, Dr. Radhakrishnan’s birthday is celebrated all over India as “Teacher’s Day” (5th September). He was born in a small place called Tirutani (nearby Kanchipuram) in Tamil Nadu. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Virswami, who was hailed as one of the country’s most notable scholars of comparative religion and philosophy, was this legend’s full name. He was known for his efforts to bridge the gap between the east and the west. In his lifetime, he was acclaimed with many honorary awards and positions.
