Shahrukh Khan- 2nd November

Shahrukh Khan is one of the greatest actors in today’s Indian Film Industry as well as a film producer and television host. He was born in New Delhi on November 2^nd 1965. His father Taj Mohammed Khan was an Indian Independence Activist. Their family migrated from Peshawar, British India before the partition of India. Shahrukh Khan began his acting career through several television series aired in Doordarshan Channel in late 1980’s like Fauji, Circus and so on. His first film debut was Deewana which was one of the biggest box office hit of that year and he achieved the Filmfare Best newcomer Award. After that he never had to turn back, today he has achieved 13 Filmfare Awards for his performance. His most successful films are, Bazzigar, Darr, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Chak De India, Don,Om Shanti Om, Veer-Zaara, Devdas, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and so on.

He is the founder or owner of film production companies like Dreamz Unlimited and Red Chillies Entertainment. Newsweek has named him one of the 50 most powerful people in the world.

Hema Malini- 16th October

Hema Malini is an Indian born film actress most popularly called the dream girl of Bollywood. He in her peak time of her career has achieved several awards and left the spectators in awe of her beauty and acting ability. She is not only a noted film actress but also a director, producer, a Bharannattyam dancer and choreographer. She is born on October 16^th 1948 in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Her mother was also a film producer. She has acted and given several box office hit movies especially opposite to her husband Dharmendra. She is considered one of the most successful actresses in Indian film industry. In a blooming career of 40 years she has acted in almost 150 movies. She is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was a member of Rajya Sabha. Her honors and awards include Padma Shri, Living Legend Award etc. she spends most of her time in charitable and social awareness ventures.

Mahesh Bhatt – 20th September

Mahesh Bhatt is one of greatest Director in Indian film industry. He has proved his mettle in direction, production and screen writing. He has given several Box office hits for Bollywood film industry. He can be called the Ridley Scott of Indian Film Industry.

Mahesh was born on September 20 1949, in the busy city of Mumbai. His father was a Hindu Brahmin and mother was a Muslim. From his early age he was so engrossed in making movies, he dropped out from college to enter the tinsel town. His early movies where art based creations like Arth, Saaransh, Janam and Naam. He has also proved the audience that he is able to make comedy movies by directing movies like Duplicate, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke etc. His serious family movies are, Daddy (1989), Swayam (1991). He launched his daughter Pooja Bhatt as an actress in his blockbuster movie ‘Daddy’. Today Pooja Bhatt is a well known film director. It was said that, his movie Zakham was based on his true life experience which was critically acclaimed. Though he has tried all kinds of stories, he is known in the film industry for making nail biting suspense thrillers. His most famous thrillers are, Inteha, Jism, Murder, Gangster, Woh Lamhe etc.

Mahesh Bhatt has also ventured into TV series, giving some of the biggest hit series like ‘Swabhimaan’ scripted by Shobha De and an English series ‘A Mouthful of Sky’. He has bagged several prestigious awards in his long career.

Rishi Kapoor – 4th September

Rishi Kapoor the evergreen Bollywood hero was born on September 4, 1952 in Mumbai. He was born in the famous Kapoor family of Punjabi origin and was the third generation actor in the family. What Barrymore family is for Hollywood is exactly what Kapoor family to Bollywood. Rishi Kapoor is the son of actor and director Raj Kapoor and grandson of actor Pritviraj Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor’s brother Ranbhir and Rajiv Kapoor are also well known actors. His son Ranbhir Kapoor also recently joined the family business to be the fourth generation actor in the family.

Rishi Kapoor came to spot light as a child actor in his father’s directorial movie ‘Mera Naam Jocker’. And in his teen he jump started as the next big thing in Bollywood cult movie ‘Bobby’ opposite Dimple Kapadia in 1973. It is still one of the best romantic movies ever made in Bollywood. For more than three decades he topped the list of romantic heroes. Rishi Kapoor has won several awards in long career as an actor and given several box office hits. Rather than lead roles now he plays supporting roles. His awards includes, BEFTA Special Award, National Film Award for Best Child Artist for Mera Naam Joker, Filmfare Best Actor Award for Bobby, Zee Cine Award for Lifetime Achievement, FICCI “Living Legend in Entertainment” award etc.
