Laxmikanth Berde- November 3rd

Laxmikanth Berde was a well known Bollywood actor famous for his comedy based roles. He has acted several Marathi and Hindi movies. Laxmikanth Berde. He was born on November 3rd 1954 in Mumbai in a Marathi Saraswat Brahmin family. From very younger age he had the striving to be an actor that was the reason he started his acting career through stage dramas. He won several awards in acting during the inter school and inter college competitions. He started his film career through Marathi movies. His debut movie was Lek Chalali Sasarla. His first Hindi movie was “Maine Pyar Kiya” with Salman Khan. He continued a very successful acting career which has given several good performances like Hum Apke Hain Kaun, Mere Sapno Ki Rani, Arzoo, Saajan, Beta and 100 Days. He has a production company Abhinay Arts named after his son. In December 16 2004 he passed away due to kidney failure.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan- November 1

Ashwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most successful actresses in Indian Film Industry. She was the former Miss World and one of the best models in India. Aishwarya Rai is born in Mangalore. She is voted several times as one of the most beautiful woman in the world. Her debut movie was Mani Ratnam’s Tamil movie ‘Iruvar’. She has acted in several multi lingual movies in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and English. He rose to fame in Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” she won Filmfare Best Actress Award for the role. She is the first Indian Actress to be a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival. Times magazine has included her amoung the 100 most influential people in the world. In October 2004 her wax statue was installed in the famous London Madame Tussaud’s wax museum. She is also the global brand ambassador for L’Oreal. A special Tulip in Netherlands is named after her.

Tabu- 4th November

Tabu is one of the most talented actresses in Indian Film Industry. She is born on 4th November 1971 in Hyderabad. She is the niece of famous National Film Awards winning actress Shabana Azmi. Tabu has proved her talent in different language movies like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and even in American films. She is a two times winner of National Film Awards and still holds the record of winning the largest number of Filmfare’s Critic’s Award for Best Female Performer category. She is more often seen in artistic and critically acclaimed movies and themes rather than normal commercial films. Some of her most famous notable roles are in movies like “Maachis, Virasat, Hu Tu Tu, Astitva, Chandni Bar, Maqbool, Cheeni Kum and Mira Nair’s The Namesake.

Rekha – 10th October

Rekha

Rekha is a renowned actress in Indian Film industry. She is born on 10th October 1954 in Tamil Nadu. In her 40 years of acting career she has acted in more than 180 films both in Indian mainstream as well as art/ parallel cinemas. Her versatility in acting can be seen through out the characters she has portrayed. The character of a school girl in ‘Khubsoorat’, and the role of a decisive avenger in ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ gave her Filmfare best actress award. The role of a court dancer in ‘Umrao Jaan’ gave her National Film Award for best actress. Her father is a veteran South Indian actor Gemini Ganesan and mother Telugu actress Pushpavalli. Since her parents are not married, Gemini Ganesan never publicly accepted Rekha as his daughter.

Rekha rocketed to fame through her powerful acting skills, she was first seen in movie as a child actor in Telugu film Rangula Ratnam (1966). Her debut film as heroine is in a Kannada movie Goadalli CID 999 and her first Hindi film is Sawan Bhadon. Rekha became a sensation overnight. Her early roles were more of a glamour girl. The turning point in her acting career came after the movie ‘Do Anjaane’ opposite Amitabh Bachchan. Her other milestone movies include ‘Ghar, Muqaddar ka Sikander, Silsila, Ek Hi Bhool etc.
